Arlie Weir, 92, Rt 5, Crawfordsville, died Sunday in Culver Hospital after being ill 2 days. Mr. Weir was employed by Indianapolis Power and LIght from 1911-1919. He was then employed by the light company of Philadelphia till his retirement in 1948. He was the oldest living member of the Montgomery County Masonic Lodge, being a member for 63 years. Mr. Weir was also a 50-year member of Valley of Philadelphia Scottish Rite. Born Oct 8, 1883, he was the son of Robert and Margaret E. Keller Weir. He was married to Fred Heine on July 15, 1915. She preceded him in death May 24, 1965. Surviving are 3 sisters, Mrs. Mabel Grimes of Balhinch; Mrs. Bertha Shumate of College Corner, Ohio and Mrs. Grace Aldred of Vevay Ind. Mr. Weir was preceded in death by 4 brothers and a sister. Services are scheduled for 2p.m. Wednesday in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Batts officiating. Masonic services are scheduled for 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial in Weir Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. - kbz
